Eligibility Criteria for Unilorin Post UTME

  1. Only candidates who chose UNILORIN as their first choice in the 2023/2024 UTME and scored 180 and above are eligible for the screening exercise.
  2. Admission will be based on an aggregate of UTME/DE score (50%); Post-UTME screening score (30%); and five (5) relevant O’ Level grades (20%).
Registration Instructions
  1. Registration Period: The application window is open from November 23rd to December 3rd, 2023.
  2. Uploading O’ Level/A’ Level Results: Candidates are required to upload their O’ Level and/or A’ Level results on the JAMB CAPS. Those awaiting results should indicate ‘AR’.
  3. Personal Email and Phone Number: Ensure the use of a personal, valid, and active email address and phone number throughout the registration process.
  4. Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of NGN 2,000.00 is applicable.
  5. Application Portal: Visit the official UNILORIN Portal or click on “Post-UTME Registration” on the main website.
  6. Details Entry and Verification: Input your JAMB Registration Number, surname, and other necessary details for verification.
  7. Payment Method: Proceed to the Remita platform for payment, which can be completed via card, transfer, USSD, bank, or QR code.
  8. Confirmation and Validation: After payment, verify and validate your payment using your JAMB registration number.
  9. Account Activation: Activate your account by using the activation code sent to your email.
  10. Form Completion: Log in with your credentials, accurately fill in the application form, and submit.

How to Apply for UNILORIN Post UTME Screening

Kindly follow the steps below to apply:

  1. Access the application portal via https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/login or alternatively, navigate to https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng and select “Post-UTME Registration.” It’s crucial to avoid using any other link.
  2. On the Post-UTME Registration page, select “Verify your details” and fill in the required fields such as JAMB Registration Number and Surname. Click on the “Verify” button to confirm UTME/DE information.
  3. Click “Proceed” to be directed to the Remita platform for payment. Payment options include card, transfer, USSD, bank, or QR code. Exercise caution and avoid refreshing your browser during the payment process to prevent multiple deductions.
  4. After making payment, click “Confirm your payment” using your JAMB registration number. Validate the payment status by clicking on “Validate” under the payment RRR number.
  5. If you encounter issues with a previous payment, enter your JAMB Registration Number and validate the payment.
  6. Upon successful payment confirmation, click “Resend Activation code” if you haven’t received an activation code. Check your email for the activation code and click “Activate your account” to complete the activation process.
  7. After activation, check your email for your account login details. Visit https://portal.unilorin.edu.ng/ug/candidate/login, enter your JAMB Registration Number and password, and click ‘login.’
  8. Click on “My Application” and provide all necessary details. Ensure accuracy before clicking the “Submit” button.

Direct Entry Candidates

  • Direct Entry candidates should pick their best academic qualification and input their results with care because any mistake could lead to being disqualified.
  • Applicants should be cautious when inputting their results, as any mistake will be considered intentional falsification. Such falsification can result in automatic disqualification at any point of detection.

Important Things to Known

  1. Incorrect entries will result in automatic disqualification.
  2. Admission decision will be determined by an aggregate of the UTME/DE score (50%), Post-UTME screening score (30%), and performance in five relevant O’ Level subjects (20%).
