This is to inform the general public especially prospective students of Benue State University (BSU) that the school management has released the 2023/2024 post utme form.

Applicants with a UTME score of 150 and above (excluding Medicine & Surgery, Law, Nursing, Radiography & Radiation Science, and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science, which require 220 and above) and Direct Entry candidates are eligible to take part in the University’s Online Screening Exercise Registration.

Eligibility Criteria for BSU Post UTME form

Before applying, it’s important to know if you’re eligible. Here’s what you need:

  • To be eligible for most programs, candidates need a score of 150 points or higher in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). However, certain high-demand courses like Medicine & Surgery, Law, Nursing, Radiography & Radiation Science, and Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science require a minimum score of 220 points or above.
  • Students who initially chose a different institution but now want to join BSUM can switch their choice to the university via the JAMB portal, provided they meet the aforementioned score requirements.

Note: Candidates aiming for Law with scores between 150 and 219 can consider other programs in the faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, or Education. Likewise, those interested in Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, B.Sc. Radiography, Radiation Science, or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) with scores between 150 and 219 can explore alternatives in Anatomy, Physiology, and other related Sciences.

How to Apply for BSU Post UTME

A: Payment Procedure

To apply, candidates must:

  1. Visit
  2. Click on the Admissions menu and select the Post UTME/DE link under the Applications section.
  3. Enter your JAMB number for application verification.
  4. Once verified, click on the ‘proceed’ link to move to the payment platform.
  5. Choose one of the three payment options provided to make your payment
  • Bank Payment: To make cash payments at the bank, visit any of the following bank branches across the country : First Bank of Nigeria Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc, Unity Bank Plc, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, and Skye Bank Plc ,Fidelity Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, ECO Bank Plc, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc. Remember to print your Payment Reference Number slip from the E-Payment Platform and take it to the bank with you.
  • Online payment: You can complete your payment by using Mastercard, VISA, or Verve Cards. Simply click the “Pay Online” button, which will redirect you to the Interswitch Payment Page. There, choose your card type from the dropdown menu and provide the necessary information to finalize your payment. Upon successful completion, a receipt will be generated, allowing you to proceed with your application.
  • ATM Payment: any ATM terminal with your ATM card and follow these steps:
  1. Choose Quickteller from the ATM menu.
  2. Select the option to pay bills.
  3. Enter the Payment Reference Number generated from the E-Payment platform when prompted for the Customer ID.
  4. Input 04255101 when asked for the Payment Code.
  5. Provide your GSM Number and finalize the transaction.
  6. Provide your GSM Number and finalize the transaction.

Upon successful completion of the payment, revisit the portal, log in, and print your Payment Receipt.

  • Quickteller Online Payment: You can also conduct transactions on the Quickteller website, which incurs an extra charge of N100.00. To proceed, visit the Quickteller website at For applicants interested in courses within the College of Health Sciences, please visit to finalize your transaction.
  1. Provide your Registration number, email, and mobile number, then click on “continue”
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment process and obtain the payment confirmation slip.
  3. Return to the portal and print the payment receipt for your records.
B Registration Process:

Following the payment, applicants should revisit the University’s website at From there, they should select the “Post Utme/De link” found in the “Applications” section under the Admissions menu. Follow the steps below to complete the registration process:

  1. Enter your UTME Registration number and click the “Verify” button to confirm your details.
  2. Click on the “proceed” link to log in to your account and complete the registration, including uploading the necessary credentials for the Post-UTME exercise.
  3. Click on the “My Bio Data” link to fill in your Biodata.
  4. Use the “Upload Documents” link to upload the required documents, such as WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificates or statement of results, Birth Certificate/Declaration of age, Marriage certificate/affidavits, and Certificate of State Origin.
  5. Click on the “Acknowledgement Slip” link to print two (2) copies. Ensure to present these Acknowledgement Slips during the Post UTME.

Candidates must upload their O’level results on the JAMB portal. Admission will be granted only to candidates whose O’level results are on the JAMB portal, provided they pass all the prescribed examinations.

Applicants have until the closing date, which is Saturday, 2nd December, 2023, to complete the payment and registration process, to be considered for admission in the 2023/2024 session.
